In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Haley. After trying, unsuccessfully, invasive brain surgeries and several pharmaceuticals to treat her complex partial seizures, Haley then turned to microdosing psilocybin and got great results. Please enjoy this episode, with Haley.
We discussed:
Complex partial seizures, blanking out, 1-2/week
Laughing spells
With developed brain came more developed seizures
Prescribed all kinds of pills, nothing worked
Three brain surgeries, removed right side of lobes
Invasive surgeries and toxic pharmaceuticals; temporal lobe; right hippocampus
Tumor on hypothalamus
Late 30s, realized there was a 2-3 year period, seizure free — early 20s, completely seizure free, mushroom trips.
Break up with true love; free spirits; lot of trips together; started having seizures
Returning from a seizure feels like a reset, clean slate, enlightened
Felt special because of these
Created her own plan of microdosing to control her seizures
Still have little, giggly partial seizures, 2-3 per day; pleasant
Regular schedule of microdosing during those times
Regimen: 2-3 days on, 1-2 days off for 2-3 weeks
More creative; violin
Notices new pathways, thinking in the brain; is more organized, clean
Quality of life really improved
Let’s find out which local leaders are open to decriminalizing these wonderful plant medicines!

Is it possible to get in contact with Haley? I have a very similar story to her except without the “happier” ending. I am fighting 6-12 focal seizures a day and 1 tonic clonic a month. I recently read about microdosing and am very interested; I am sick of these invasive treatments and medications that do not work and just add side effects. I am living in hell and just want some help…
I feel for you, Jay Fetterly. My story is the same in a lot of ways too. I would love more info. Is she still needing to take medication? I sure hope she is doing well 🙂 any information is appreciated.
